Braeden Baston
West Newton, MA
Braeden holds a BFA from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA, and has interned with Boston Printmakers, De'Bramble Gallery, and Wrong Brain.
Braeden’s embraces contemporary, grunge, graphic, and cultural artistic styles.
My artistic philosophy revolves around the admiration of process and community, drawing inspiration from gore aesthetics and the illustrative work of the grunge movement. I experiment with texture and figurative compositions, finding beauty in even the most unsettling moments.
Braeden specializes in printmaking techniques such as silkscreen and linocut, as well as pen and ink.
With three years of experience in printmaking, their work has been showcased in notable exhibitions, including the Reflections: BFA Thesis Exhibition at Roberts Gallery, the 2024 Five Points Juried Printmaking Exhibition at Five Points Art Center, and NHAA's Fledgling: Artists Under 30 at Robert Levy Gallery.
Braeden was selected for an upcoming residency with In Cahoots in Petaluma, CA.
The works below are available in the gallery, by virtual viewing, and online.
